Sandra has been teaching my child since she was in kindergarten. She is able to effectively diagnose the root cause of my daughter's learning problems and implement strategies to address them. She helps parents to have a better understanding on developmental and behavioural issues and how to better manage such issues. Most importantly, she has excellent connection with kids!

Being an autistic child with speech and language impairment, my son has always displayed resentment towards language tasks but I am impressed with Sandra's exceptional dedication, patience, passion and enthusiasm to engage him in sessions. I am also impressed with the various creative and interesting strategies she applies to help him overcome his difficulties and stay focused on his language tasks. Over the years from pre-school to upper primary, I have seen my child progress through many challenges. It was an unforgettable event when my son won the "Best Improved Writer" award. This award was an affirmation of Sandra's excellent contribution to my child's language development. This could not be possible without Sandra's intervention. I also appreciate Sandra's efforts to keep me updated regularly on the issues and progress.

Sandra has the ability to design and implement learning strategies that are specific for my son which prove to be very useful for him and has helped him in his learning and schoolwork. Besides that, she is also able to help and advise me in other areas of Jayden's development when necessary.

Sandra has been teaching our son, Lucas, since he was in K2. Lucas was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 3. When Lucas was in K2, he has yet to learn how to read and recognize words, and he also had poor number sense. Within 2 years with Sandra, Lucas's learning ability transformed. At P2, he was able to read fluently. His Maths was on par with his peers. Sandra adopts a firm yet kind approach to work with Lucas. She is a sharp lady with the ability to understand a child's needs. She would also highlight the difficulty that Lucas faces during lessons and make use of different strategies to help Lucas to understand the concepts within each subject. Sandra is not only a dedicated teacher, she also taught us how to deal with Lucas's behavior and learning problems. We have learnt a lot of skills from her and this has benefitted Lucas tremendously. We are fortunate and blessed to have Sandra as a teacher for Lucas and also to have good bonding with her throughout the years. We are extremely grateful to her and would like to compliment her excellent teaching and training for our son.

Through the years, Sandra has shown herself to be extremely patient and is able to adapt her teaching techniques to my son's character and behavior. My son has undoubtedly benefitted from her guidance through the years and has improved in his studies. I would unreservedly recommend Sandra to any parent whose child has learning difficulties.

I went to Sandra to seek help for my son, Samuel's maths. Sandra kindly allowed me to sit in the sessions so I could observe how she helps him so I could continue to work with him at home. Sandra was able to explain the mathematical concepts clearly to Samuel and helped to systematically scaffold his learning. The progress was necessarily slow at the beginning but we persevered and together with diligent and intense practices at home, we saw Samuel achieve automaticity in his addition, subtraction and subsequently multiplication and division as well. Sandra also helped him to understand problem sums and taught him the various methods for solving different types of questions. As I sat in for the sessions, Sandra also took the opportunity to explain and teach me so I could continue to help him at home. Although Samuel does not need to go to Sandra anymore, I will sometimes text Sandra when I encounter difficult questions or when I have forgotten things she had previously taught him. I know I will go back to her again if Samuel should face a need for remediation for his maths again.

I am so pleased to report that D's Cambridge Checkpoint results are out and she did amazingly well. She scored full marks (6) in all her subjects - English Science, Math. This is quite unbelievable as this makes her one of the top students in her school. Only 25 out of 61 of them managed a Triple 6! She is so, so, so happy and we are beyond proud. Her peers (and I'm sure the teachers who thought she was going to fail) could not quite believe it when her name was flashed on the screen.
On Monday, she received two awards at her school's annual Academic Awards - one for Most Improved and the other for Top Student for Cambridge. This has definitely boosted her confidence greatly.
We just want to thank you for your help thus far. It is unbelievable to think we first saw you in March and that she had to take this Cambridge test in April. A little help goes a long way. Maybe it was psychological for her or it was just a boost of confidence to assure her that she did not have as big a problem as her teachers made it out to be. Whatever it is, we are very very happy and thanking God for His faithfulness to DY.
